Patriots Match Raiders Offer Sheet For Christian Elliss

The New England Patriots matched the offer sheet that restricted free agent Christian Elliss signed with the Las Vegas Raiders. The offer sheet was for a two-year contract, which will keep Elliss under contract with the Patriots through the 2026 season.

Elliss started five games for New England last season. The linebacker had 72 tackles, 1.5 sacks and an interception last season.

Had New England declined to match the offer sheet from Las Vegas, they would not have received draft compensation for Ellis. This is because the Patriots tendered Ellis at the lowest tender offer possible.
