Stanford Hires Frank Reich As Head Coach On One-Year Deal
Stanford has hired Frank Reich as interim head coach for the 2025 season. Both sides have agreed that this will be a one-season deal and that Stanford will launch a national search later this year.
Reich coached Stanford general manager Andrew Luck during the final season of his NFL career in 2018. Reich was most recently head coach of the Carolina Panthers for the 2023 season.
Stanford fired Troy Taylor last week amid allegations he bullied and belittled female athletic staffers. Stanford has struggled in recent seasons after a prolonged period of relevance under Jim Harbaugh and David Shaw.
